Country wise FDI inflows
The
countrywise figures for 200-01 to February 2008 reveal Mauritius in the
leading position accounting for about 45.5 percent of total FDI inflows
into India. The US and UK is far behind it with 8.63 percent and 8.25
percent respectively. FDI from Mauritius during this period stood at $
24002 million. In terms of Rs it stood at Rs 1037850 million. FDI by US
and UK during this period stood at $ 4464 million and $ 4304 million.
In terms of Indian currency it comes to Rs 196821 million and Rs 188279
million respectively.
